The other day I was talking with my friend, Reverend Lowell Moore. We share a passion for playing our mountain dulcimers in both a large and small group of other musicians. We are collaborators in developing Send in The Music, and share the desire to build a community of Visiting Musicians who can offer Comfort and Cheer Visits to members of our community who are confined to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, Hospice and other treatment centers.
I asked Lowell, "What made you want to be a Visiting Musician?" Lowell said he was drawn in by the concept of sending music as a gift to someone in need. Lowell said he wants to be "the gift." I found his thought so lovely, I just had to share it with you.
